6/13/24 Log: Mo Builds Mo Problems


What's good baby we got more Mithrayn. New build uploaded. It's the same level as before but it looks fancier and has some bugfixes and the melee enemies are A) more aggressive and B) can now Parry YOU as well (the animation for this is in-progress). Also there's a health potion system now; press Q to use a health potion (the mushrooms that previously healed you instantly will now just add to your health potion count; also later they will be health potions instead of mushrooms lol). Also there's a studio logo splash screen and a title screen now, and a pause menu.

I made a studio logo out of a free font I found. I wanted it to look kinda weird and kinda pretty and kinda bold at the same time. We are really out here.

Recently I've been tackling a few different types of tasks: bugfixing and iteration based on feedback from the previous build, prototyping new ideas I had, and some iteration and concepting work on the core vision / concept, to make the game a bit more unique and interesting. I think I have a decent idea for that, but it doesn't really show in this current build, just to set your expectations. Right now this only really shows up on the start button, which displays text reading, "blood is money, money is blood." Feel free to speculate endlessly as to what this could mean. But also I might change it later maybe.
