Launch Countdown Log: Day 9


THE GAME has AUDIO SETTINGS that don't reset after you die now. I thought it would take me a long time to figure that out but it actually didn't. Also more bugfixes and stuff, and the main menu (kinda visible in this screenshot) now looks better by way of removal of the yellow background on the logo; I just couldn't get it to show the right shade of yellow in-engine due to Unreal's lighting and all, but I think it looks better this way anyway and it shows you more of the clouds flying by. Speaking of clouds, I also optimized (fancy) their movement which should make the framerate smoother as well as liberate their speed from the framerate. I also implemented a bunch of new SFX which aren't in build 6.66 but they will be in the next one. Progress is being made swiftly and I'm excited to finish this. Gonna do some more testing, sound implementation, and minute polish.
